There are many activities to enjoy in the City of Bristol from underwater adventures at Bristol Aquarium to free attractions like the ‘Shaun in the City’ trail. Bristol also has an awesome night life to enjoy from upbeat clubs like The Syndicate to underground live gigs at Basement 45.  So, if you are attending Bristol University then you have lots to look forward to. And hey, why not use our Student Storage to help you store a few things over the summer holidays? Our "ALL-IN-PRICE" structure makes it simple for you to see exactly how much you are paying for the storage of your items over the summer. The best of Bristol

From the longest chain of independent shops in Europe to our own community currency, Bristol is proud to be an independent city. A place like no other; even the houses are colourful.

Bristol has a strong tradition of activism, with citizens who are engaged, expressive and ever-ready to get involved. When we became the first city outside London to choose a directly-elected Mayor, people seized the opportunity for a new approach to politics.

Get a taste of this independent spirit through locally sourced food and drink, soak up the culture and revel in Bristol’s offbeat and alternative character. The Bristol Pound encourages local spending and supports independent business.

A playful, playable city, there’s so much to see and do. Practice parkour at the UKCF academy, have a game of ping-pong at tables across the city, or be amazed by a high-flying circus act.

What Bristol Has to offer

Bristol offers something for everyone, whether you’re into music or museums.

If it’s film and independent cinema you enjoy, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Try Cube, Watershed, or the newly reopened Everyman theatre. Film clubs abound, from Bristol Bad Film Club to the Sunset Cinema, and if you want to see something seriously retro, visit 20th Century Flicks and pick up some videos.

Laugh out loud at the Bristol Improv Theatre, or visit the oldest continuously running theatre in the UK, Bristol Old Vic. For other great shows, don’t miss Bristol Hippodrome, or plays at the Wardrobe Theatre and Tobacco Factory.

Bristol is the birthplace of Arcadia, famous for their shows fusing sculpture, engineering, lighting, circus and robotics.

We The Curious mixes fun with learning, and you can wonder at the night sky in the UK’s first 3D Planetarium. Learn about the city at the M Shed museum and explore the animal kingdom at Bristol Zoo and the Aquarium.

Listen to live jazz at The Old Duke, dance to folk and rock at the Canteen, or see something classical at Colston Hall. You can keep the records spinning at one of many vinyl shops, from Rise in Clifton to Wanted Records in St Nicholas Market and Idle Hands in Stokes Croft.

Keep your balance at a roller disco at the Trinity Centre, a converted church, or rave on a boat at Thekla. Other eclectic nightlife is on offer at venues across the city, from the compact Cosies in St Pauls to the larger clubs Motion and Lakota.
