St Andrews is a place full of history, learning and culture, a wonderful coastal resort, and the world's home of golf. With exam season coming to an end soon at St Andrews, it’s time to start thinking of how your going to celebrate! Here are a few ideas from us:
- 9th-10th June- Crail Food Festival
Taking place in the coastal village of Crail, the Crail Food Festival is a highlight of the summer festival calendar. Starting at the end of exam season, Students from St Andrews University will enjoy this festival which includes a variety of food and drink-based events and opportunities.
With music events, indoor and outdoor markets, this festival has good, local food at its heart. The festival food market traditionally takes place on the Saturday and plays host to a wealth of independent producers from across Fife, selling direct to you!
Enjoy sampling taste plates, food demonstrations, talks, meeting the producers and of course discovering new, quality local products.

- 30th June- Ceres Highland Game
For Students from St Andrews University who fancy a change from festivals will enjoy the traditional Ceres Games, these are the oldest free games in Scotland, always held on the last Saturday of the month of June, every year (except for war) since the charter to hold the Games was given to the people of the village by Robert Bruce in 1314 in recognition of their support at the battle of Bannockburn. The battle was fought to preserve the right of the Scots to determine how they would be ruled.
This is a fantastic day out for students who want to celebrate the end of exam season, the games include bagpipes, kilts and all the usual outdoor pursuits.
